Today, we embark on our new chapter! After nearly 35 years in Jefferson City, Missouri, we’re bidding farewell to our community and setting off on a journey with Milton, our newly acquired 140-year-old Italianate farmhouse. We’ve nicknamed the house Milton after James Milton Proctor, the original home’s owner/builder, and it’s officially ours as of today. I’m incredibly fortunate to have a wife willing to leave behind our fantastic home and uproot 35 years of memories in Jefferson City for this project in a much smaller town.
So, with excitement, determination, and a healthy dose of trepidation, it’s time to get moving and start breathing new life into Milton. Here’s to creating many more memories within these storied walls and becoming stewards of a small piece of history.
